History of Braque d' Auvergne

Dubious origins which would go up according to some with the Middle Ages, where Templiers l' would have brought back crusade. General aspect

Significant proportions

- Line of the top: Tended well, right.

- Garrot: Marked.

- Back: Narrow, flat and short. L' backbone n' is not projecting.

- Kidney: Attached well, it is broad (especially in the females), very slightly convex.

Color Black with white panachure d' variable extension. The characteristic of panachure makes recognize two types: Mouchetée or grisonnée. This difference cannot be used to decide between two of the same subjects quality. The head must be black with preferably a white list being prolonged at the head. The white of this list can s' to extend on the side parts of the muzzle. A white and mouchetée ear or a white and moucheté side of the head, cannot be regarded as defects.



Height with the garrot: (with, for the two sexes tolerance + 2 cm and - 1 cm):

- Males: 57 to 63 cm (ideal height: 60 cm)

- Females: 53 to 59 cm (ideal height: 56 cm).



Any variation compared to what precedes must be regarded as a defect which will be penalized according to its gravity.

- Lines of the chamfer and the cranium parallels.

- Head too charged under the eyes.

- Conjunctive apparent.


Defects important

- Line of the chamfer and cranium convergent (towards l' before).

- Concave or convex Chamfer.
